The three prime accused in the condom scam in Maharashtra have surrendered before a local court, police said here on Friday.
The three -- Shirish Boralkar and Hemant Mirkhikar, both directors of the Devgiri Latex Company, and Balasaheb Kulkarni, the supervisor of the company -- surrendered on Thursday before First Class Judicial Magistrate V L Jogdand, they said.
The accused had been absconding since the scam came to light on March 28.
The trio allegedly collected condoms distributed free by the government and sold them to the authorities after re-packaging them, police said.
A court later remanded the accused to seven days police custody.
They were produced before the judicial magistrate, who remanded them to police custody till June 16.
